The new Spinnaker Tesei series of watches pay tribute to Teseo Tesei. Tesei was involved in inventing the human torpedo (called Maiale). It was used by the Regia Marina during World War II. As such, the Tesei is a robustly built timepiece that is the first Spinnaker watch to be hand assembled in Switzerland using a Swiss Made Sellita SW200 automatic movement.

A 43 mm diameter case is painstakingly forged out of solid Bronze with a convex scratch-resistant sapphire lens in place and see through exhibition caseback.

The dial is a well-balanced mix of vintage diving cues with a wave pattern embossing on the dial and circular, triangular and baton applied indexes applied with Swiss Super-LumiNova in a beige vintage color. Bold pencil shaped hour and minute hands are faceted and precisely finished and also applied with Swiss SuperLumiNova offering better low-light visibility and legibility.

True to the Italian spirit of the timepiece – the Tesei features an Italian made, custom designed waterproofed genuine leather straps hand finished with care by a craftsman in Florence. This Swiss Made timepiece is assembled carefully, with the utmost care harmonizing the spirit of romantic, masculine vintage diver together with the best of modern Swiss watchmaking technique.

NOTE: Bronze watch cases will form a unique patina over time giving the watch an aged look.
